120cm is the whole decision.
120cm is the length that lets a dog walk beside you with slack in the line and still stops short of the kerb. Shorter and you're holding tension the whole walk. Longer and you're gathering it in every time a bike passes.
The handle is padded velvet over the same structured nylon that runs the length of the lead — so the part that takes your weight and the part that takes the dog's are the same piece of material, not two things stitched together and hoping.
120cm
the standard for pavement control with slack
Structured nylon core under sage velvet
Padded velvet handle
Brushed gold bolt snap
Measured, not guessed.
Long enough for slack on the pavement, short of the kerb.
Clip low
Attach to the collar's D-ring, not to a tag ring. Tag rings aren't load-bearing.
Hold, don't wrap
Loop the handle over your thumb and close your hand. Never wrap the lead round your wrist.
Let it hang
A lead with a gentle U of slack in it is a lead that's the right length.
Check the gate
Give the bolt snap a pull each time you clip on. Two seconds, every walk.
Not sure?
Which collar size are you on?
The bits that do the work .
Straight answer, both ways .
We'd rather you skipped this one than returned it.
Yes, if…
- You walk on pavement and want slack in the line without drag
- Your palm has met a bare webbing lead before
- You already have the Form Collar and want the hardware to match
Probably not, if…
- You need distance for recall work — that is a long line, a different tool
- You want a retractable; this is a fixed 120cm
The clip goes first. It always does.
Every lead has one part that takes the whole dog: the clip. On most leads it's a hollow bolt snap with a light spring, and after a few hundred lunges the spring softens, the gate stops seating fully, and one day it doesn't close at all. You usually find out at the worst possible moment.
The handle is the second failure. Bare webbing at 120cm is fine until your dog spots a squirrel, and then it's a rope burn across your palm.
Most dog kit is priced to be bought twice. Same claims, same photos, half the life. Here they are side by side.

What five years actually looks like .
Every piece is built to last five years of daily use. Here's what that actually means.
It arrives and it fits
If the size is wrong, send it back inside 30 days. Unused and in its packaging, no questions asked.
The point most kit gives up
Six weeks to six months is where cheap hardware greys, stitching frays and fill goes flat. If any of that happens here, it's a defect and it's covered.
It looks used, not worn out
Both pieces age at the same rate, which is the point of buying them together.
Still covered
The guarantee runs the full five years against manufacturing defects. Email a photo and your order number and a replacement ships free.

Questions we actually get.
Why does a lead come in four sizes?
Does the size need to match my collar size?
Is 120cm long enough for training?
Will the padded handle stay padded?
Can I use this with the Form Harness?
Is it machine washable?
How much is delivery?
How quickly does it ship?
What if the size is wrong?
Who pays return postage?
How do I claim on the guarantee?
Three words that actually mean something .
Every brand writes these on a label. Here is what they do.
Bolt snap
The spring-loaded clip. The gate is the part that softens first on a cheap lead, and the part that lets go.
Padded handle
Foam bonded to the core rather than sitting loose in a sleeve, so it cannot migrate down the strap over time.
120 cm
Long enough to leave slack on a pavement, short enough to stop before the kerb.
The three things people do anyway .
Not a warranty clause. Just what the return emails keep saying.
What to do, and when.
Tick what you need. We'll add it up.
No bundle discounts hiding here — it is just the prices, added together, so you can see the whole thing before you commit.
Three steps, no surprises.
