How it's made

Four points, one proper fit.

Four adjustment points sounds like a spec until you fit it. Two straps let you make a harness tighter or looser. Four let you make it fit — chest depth and girth set independently, so a deep-chested dog and a barrel-chested one both end up with a harness that doesn't rotate.

The piping is worked through the chest panel rather than stitched on top, so it's visible from the side at dusk and there's no patch edge to lift and peel after a wash.

GETTING THE SIZE RIGHT

Measured, not guessed.

Four points set chest depth and girth independently — so it does not rotate

Size Neck circumference (cm) Chest (cm)
S 40,6–58,4 58,4–81,2
M 43,1–68,5 63,5–101,6
L 45,7–73,6 71,1–104,1
XL 60,9–96,5 78,7–114,3
1

Loosen everything first

Open all four points before it goes on. Fitting a harness that's already tight is how you get a bad fit.

2

Set the chest

The front panel should sit across the breastbone, not up against the throat.

3

Set the girth

Two fingers flat under the strap behind the front legs.

4

Walk it, then re-check

Give it five minutes of walking, then check nothing has rotated.

Not sure?

A harness is the right call. Measure around the deepest part of the chest, behind the front legs, and add two fingers.
You may not need this — the Form Collar is the lighter, simpler tool for a dog that already walks well.
Harness for the walk, collar for the ID tag. Most owners end up using both.

IS IT FOR YOU?

Straight answer, both ways.

We'd rather you skipped this one than returned it.

Yes, if…

  • Your dog pulls and the lead is tight the whole walk
  • You walk at dusk, on or near roads
  • You want a handle for crossings and car boots

Probably not, if…

  • Your dog already walks beside you — a collar is the right tool
  • You're after a training device; this spreads load, it doesn't teach
Why collars aren't enough

A collar puts all of it on the throat.

For a dog that walks beside you, a collar is the right tool. For a dog that pulls, every bit of that force lands on the trachea — and you feel it as a lead that's permanently tight and a walk neither of you enjoys.

A harness spreads the same force across the chest and shoulders, where the dog is actually built to carry it. That's not a

THE LONG RUN

What five years actually looks like .

Every piece is built to last five years of daily use. Here's what that actually means.

Week 1

It arrives and it fits

If the size is wrong, send it back inside 30 days. Unused and in its packaging, no questions asked.

Month 6

The point most kit gives up

Six weeks to six months is where cheap hardware greys, stitching frays and fill goes flat. If any of that happens here, it's a defect and it's covered.

Year 2

It looks used, not worn out

Both pieces age at the same rate, which is the point of buying them together.

Year 5

Still covered

The guarantee runs the full five years against manufacturing defects. Email a photo and your order number and a replacement ships free.

ASK AWAY

Questions we actually get.

Will a harness stop my dog pulling?

+
No — a harness makes pulling safer, not rarer. It moves the load off the throat and onto the chest. Stopping the pulling itself is training.

Which is better, the harness or the collar?

+
Different jobs. Most people use both: the collar for the ID tag and everyday wear, the harness for the walk. A dog that pulls should be walked on a harness.

Where does the lead attach?

+
To the ring on the harness. The Form Lead's bolt snap fits it directly.

What's the top handle for?

+
Close control — crossing a road, passing another dog, lifting into a car boot. It's for a moment, not for carrying the dog's weight over distance.

Is the reflective piping enough for night walks?

+
It makes your dog visible from the side under headlights, which is the angle that matters most on a road. It's a visibility aid, not a substitute for a light on a dark lane.

Can I machine wash it?

+
No. Wipe it down and air dry — machine washing softens the Oxford's structure, which is the thing doing the work.

How much is delivery?

+
Free on every UK order, with no minimum spend.

How quickly does it ship?

+
Dispatched within 1-2 working days of your order.

What if the size is wrong?

+
Send it back within 30 days, unused and in its original packaging, and we refund you.

Who pays return postage?

+
You do for a change of mind. We do if the item arrived faulty.

How do I claim on the guarantee?

+
Email a photo and your order number. We confirm within two working days and ship a free replacement.
IN PLAIN ENGLISH

Three words that actually mean something .

Every brand writes these on a label. Here is what they do.

Oxford cloth

A basketweave with a slight sheen — stiffer than canvas. It keeps its shape while a dog pulls against it.

Reflective piping

Retroreflective cord sewn into the seam rather than a patch stuck on top, so there is no edge to lift and peel.

Four-point adjustment

Chest depth and girth set independently. It is what stops the harness rotating on a deep-chested dog.

GET IT WRONG

The three things people do anyway .

Not a warranty clause. Just what the return emails keep saying.

1
Fitting it without opening all four points first.
2
Sitting the front panel against the throat instead of across the breastbone.
3
Expecting it to stop the pulling. It makes pulling safer, not rarer.
LOOKING AFTER IT

What to do, and when.

After each use
Wipe both with a damp cloth and dry flat.
Every week or so
No machine washing.
Every few months
Check the wear points. Material that is softening is normal. Material that is fraying, splitting or lifting is not — that is a defect, and it is covered.
Any time in five years
If it fails under normal use, email a photo and your order number. We confirm within two working days and a replacement ships free.
