How it's made

One hand in, shuts on its own.

The mouth is the product. A sprung frame means it opens under the pressure of your fingers and closes the moment they leave — so it's open exactly as long as your hand is in it and shut every other second of the walk.

The lining is the second half of the job. Training treats are greasy by design; that's what makes them worth working for. An oil-resistant lining means the pouch wipes out in one pass instead of slowly turning into something you don't want near your coat.

Is it for you?

Straight answer, both ways.

We'd rather you skipped this one than returned it.

Yes, if…

  • You're training and the treat has to land within a second
  • You hold the lead in one hand and need the other free
  • You've had a fabric treat bag go rancid on you

Probably not, if…

  • You want to carry a week of food; this is sized for one session
  • You feed raw on walks — wipe-clean isn't sanitised
Why training bags fail

You need one hand for the dog.

Training is timing. The treat has to land within a second of the behaviour, or the dog learns something other than what you meant to teach. Which means the pouch has to open with the hand that isn't holding the lead — and most of them need two.

Drawstrings need two hands. Zips need two hands and your eyes. Magnetic flaps come open in a bag and empty themselves into your coat.

Form Treat Pouch — flat lay with treats

You need one hand for the dog.

HOW TO USE

Getting the most out of it

1

Clip it on your lead side

Same side as the hand holding the lead, so your free hand reaches across into it naturally.

2

Load a session, not a week

Fresh treats each walk. That's what the wipe-clean lining is for.

Form Treat Pouch — flat lay with treats
3

Reward within a second

The one-handed mouth exists so you can hit that window.

4

Wipe it out after

Ten seconds, and it doesn't build up.

THE LONG RUN

What five years actually looks like .

Every piece is built to last five years of daily use. Here's what that actually means.

Week 1

It arrives and it fits

If the size is wrong, send it back inside 30 days. Unused and in its packaging, no questions asked.

Month 6

The point most kit gives up

Six weeks to six months is where cheap hardware greys, stitching frays and fill goes flat. If any of that happens here, it's a defect and it's covered.

Year 2

It looks used, not worn out

Both pieces age at the same rate, which is the point of buying them together.

Year 5

Still covered

The guarantee runs the full five years against manufacturing defects. Email a photo and your order number and a replacement ships free.

ASK AWAY

Questions we actually get.

Does it really open with one hand?

+
Yes — the sprung mouth opens under finger pressure and closes when you let go. That's the reason to buy this over a drawstring bag.

Will it stay shut in a bag?

+
Yes. The spring holds it closed rather than relying on a magnet or a flap.

Is the brass carabiner different from the gold hardware on the collar?

+
Yes — brass here, brushed gold on the collar and lead. They sit in the same warm family but they aren't identical finishes.

Can I put wet food or raw in it?

+
The lining is oil-resistant, so training treats and semi-moist food are fine. Raw isn't a good idea in any pouch — wipe-clean isn't the same as sanitised.

How many treats does it hold?

+
A training session's worth for one dog. It's sized to be worn, not to carry a week of food.

Will the wax finish rub off?

+
Waxed canvas darkens and marks at the wear points over time. That's the material behaving normally, not a defect — it's why the fabric was chosen.
IN PLAIN ENGLISH

Three words that actually mean something .

Every brand writes these on a label. Here is what they do.

Waxed canvas

Cotton impregnated with wax. It sheds rain, darkens at the wear points, and does not rot the way untreated cotton does.

Sprung mouth

A metal frame that opens under finger pressure and snaps shut the moment you let go. One hand, every time.

Oil-resistant lining

A coated inner face, so grease from training treats wipes off instead of soaking into the weave.

GET IT WRONG

The three things people do anyway .

Not a warranty clause. Just what the return emails keep saying.

1
Loading a week of treats into it. It is sized for one session.
2
Leaving the lining unwiped after a greasy session.
3
Sponging the outer with hot water, which lifts the wax.
LOOKING AFTER IT

What to do, and when.

After each use
Wipe both with a damp cloth and dry flat.
Every week or so
No machine washing.
Every few months
Check the wear points. Material that is softening is normal. Material that is fraying, splitting or lifting is not — that is a defect, and it is covered.
Any time in five years
If it fails under normal use, email a photo and your order number. We confirm within two working days and a replacement ships free.
